摘要: At high levels of wind power penetration, multiple plants may be the predominant generation resource over large geographic areas. Thus, not only do need to provide a level functionality, they must coordinate properly with each other. This paper describes analysis and field testing plant voltage controllers designed improve system performance through passive coordination. The described controls can real reactive response turbines thereby make function as single “grid friendly” source. For this application, involving seven predominantly GE in Eastern Wyoming, portion were configured tuned allow collective region work well together. presents results initial configuration tuning study, subsequent modified controls. also some comparisons measured stability simulation models, which show that available models accurate, fidelity for actual operating conditions commercial plants.
