摘要: The utilisation of catechol as an electrochemical indicator for the presence sulphydryl thiols (RSH) has been investigated. oxidation within tissue culture media was examined with influence exerted on redox chemistry by cysteine evaluated in terms development analytical protocol. electro-generation o-quinone found to be followed a 1,4-addition reaction available such that increase current, attributed re-oxidation thiol-catechol adduct, could exploited means quantifying concentration thiol. selectivity assessed no interference from lysine, tyrosine, methionine or cystine. Other amino acids possessing thiol functionalities (homocysteine and glutathione) were, however, react through similar route observed cysteine.
