摘要: A broad-range bacterial PCR targeting rRNA genes (rDNAs) was used to directly analyze 536 clinical samples obtained from 459 hospitalized patients during a 4-year study period. The molecular diagnosis based on DNA sequencing of the product compared that by culture. bacteriological concordant for 447 (83%) specimens. Broad-range rDNA only method yielded an etiologic 11 (2.4%) patients. Compared culture and assessment, sensitivity combined with 74.2%, specificity between 98.7 99.6%. At present, described approach proved superior in two situations: infections caused bacteria unusual growth requirements specimens taken antimicrobial treatment patient.
