Psychopharmacology in supportive care of cancer: a review for the clinician

摘要: This review covers pharmacokinetics, adverse effects and drug interactions of antidepressants the indications for them, with aim assisting clinician working in palliative supportive care prescription such drugs. Practical considerations decision trees to be used prior an antidepressant are also part this review. Special emphasis is put on management depression, which frequent patients advanced cancer often remains underdetected undertreated, or treated at a stage when there little time medication have effect.
