摘要: Abstract Introduction. In this paper we describe a device which allows consistent acetabular cup placement to reduce post-arthroplasty dislocation. Patients and methods. The development of surgical appliance is traced from the initial concept construction suitable for clinical trials. system use explained. constraints imposed by working environment methods employed meet demands practice are elucidated. A trial described in was used assist siting ten patients. Results. accuracy placements done using then compared radiography with 17 cups performed standard manner. Comparison results show positive benefit arising device. Conclusions. Our good on positioning laboratory studies maintained setting, but further modifications could lend even better results.
