摘要: Abstract Limited applications for the large amounts of steel slags produced globally exist. In this study, hydraulic and pozzolanic behavior basic oxygen furnace slag (BOFS) ladle (LFS) are studied contrasted with ground granulated blast (GGBFS). Pozzolanic test, isothermal calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, compressive strength test performed to determine feasibility these as supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs). The is by measuring heat release calcium hydroxide consumption slag-calcium blends at 50 °C pH 13.5. other tests on pastes 20% replacement mass 23 °C 50 °C. GGBFS shows best performance among all in tests, followed BOFS, LFS. It suggested that BOFS LFS should not be used SCMs as-is. poor due flash setting, likely caused rapid reaction C12A7, which causes hydration retardation gain. moderate it has low activity, explained its amorphous content presence amount reactive crystalline phases. An important finding from study order state whether could or not, combined use more accurate than only one method. While results obtained may here broadly generalizable variations chemistry, approach obtain insights into any powder SCM.
