UV opacity in nearby galaxies and application to distant galaxies

摘要: The effects of dust opacity on the radiation nearby and distant galaxies are reviewed. geometrical distribution inside galaxy plays a fundamental role in determining wavelength dependence obscuration galaxy. This is true especially at blue UV wavelengths, i.e. range interest studies massive stars star formation processes.
