摘要: Mesogen jacketed liquid crystalline poly(1-alkyne) and poly(1-phenyl-1-alkyne) linked pendants of terphenyl mesogens with hexyloxy tails at the waist position ({RCC [(CH2)3OOC-terpheyl-(OC6H13)2]}n, where RH, PHATP(OC6)2; RC6H5, PPATP(OC6)2) were synthesized. The influences structural variations on thermal, mesomorphic, luminescent properties investigated. Polymerizations all monomers are carried out by WCl6-Ph4Sn catalysts successfully. polymers stable (Td ≥ 340 °C) soluble in common solvents. show enantiotropic SmA phases heating cooling processes, lateral side chains mesogenic units perpendicular to main chain. “jacket effect” chromophoric core “shell” around chain also contributes high photoluminescence, pendant-to-backbone energy transfer path is involved luminescence process this polymers. In comparison monosubstituted polyacetylene PHATP(OC6)2, disubstituted PPATP(OC6)2 shows better photoluminescence both THF solution film, exhibited about 40 nm red-shifted than indicating that forces backbone extend a more planar conformation conjugation. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
