FGF6 modulates the expression of fibroblast growth factor receptors and myogenic genes in muscle cells.

摘要: Fgf6 is the only known member of FGF family whose expression restricted to muscle cell lineage during development, suggesting it may have a role in myogenesis. Muscle satellite cells but not C2 myoblast were found express Fgf6. We used purified recombinant FGF6 protein explore effect this factor on culture. stimulated proliferation myoblasts and, combination with heparin, induced their morphological transformation. FGF6, added at 5 ng/ml and presence increased subset differentiation markers. In contrast, 25 ng/ml, down-regulated myogenic markers transcription factors examined delayed into myotubes cells. It also up-regulated FgfR1 had an opposite FgfR4. These results suggest that intramuscular concentrations could influence processes taking place development.
