摘要: The local pattern of proinflammatory cytokine release was studied in Alzheimer disease (AD) and vascular dementia (VAD), by measuring intrathecal levels IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, its naturally occurring antagonists, soluble TNF receptors I II. were related to neuronal damage, as measured the tau concentration, cerebral apoptosis assessed Fas/APO-1 bcl-2, clinical variables. In vitro analysis performed study effect TNF-α on production an antiapoptotic factor, human cells. Patients with both AD VAD displayed significantly higher compared controls. addition, patients showed negative correlations between well protein. level bcl-2 supernatants TNF-α-exposed cultures cells up three times than control supernatants. Our demonstrates dementias, suggesting that this may have a neuroprotective role these neurodegenerative conditions evidenced (i) (ii) protein, parameters closely brain damage. data suggest exerts stimulating express molecule which downregulates apoptosis.
