摘要: Cell-to-cell communication in plants occurs via plasmodesmata (Pd), dynamic membrane-lined pores the plant cell wall that provide symplasmic continuity between adjacent cells. Communication through Pd involves trafficking of protein and RNA macromolecules, also includes viruses. Virus movement depends on virus-encoded proteins (MP), which MP Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) has been most thoroughly studied. The many cellular activities this include interaction with Pd, results deposition fibrous material cavity as well an increased size-exclusion limit channel. interacts microtubules actin filaments, alignment to correlated function protein. Intriguingly, junctions multicellular cyanobacterium Anabaena suggesting a degree functional analogy intercellular mechanisms prokaryotes plants. In Anabaena, induces formation MP-associated filaments traverse septa may be similar nature localized MP-expressing These observations suggest involvement conserved cytoskeletal elements MP-dependent modification plasticity connections evolutionary divergent species.
