摘要: Hawksbill turtles, Eretmochelys imbricata, live at low density on coral reefs in the southern Great Barrier Reef. The biomass of species Heron Reef was estimated 0.82 kg ha-1. This is equivalent to 3.34 turtles km-1. nesting beaches used by these E. imbricata are unknown. However, within and Coral Sea region, no regular occurs 1200 km reefal feeding grounds. take up long-term residence grounds a minimum curved carapace length 35.0cm. over ranged size from small immatures adults with 87.5cm, but maturity ratio very strongly biased toward (maturity ratio=0.01 adults). sex all classes significantly skewed favour females (2.57 : 1 male overall) while 2% were identified as intersex. Growth data indicate that they will be decades old first breeding. A key for sexing assessing reproductive provided.
