摘要: Abstract We report here experimental data pertaining to the oxidation of CO when COO2 mixtures are exposed Pd substrates. The substrates were prepared by exposure O2 at high temperatures for extended periods time. rate CO2 production was measured in region 300–975 K and reaction orders apparent activation energies have been derived from data. At below 450 is very low inhibited CO. Above 475 proceeds readily involves an Eley-Rideal type between chemisorbed oxygen atoms gas phase rapid increase attributed desorption which then allows chemisorption O2. 500 falls off slowly due decreasing residence time amounts available surface. qualitative features temperature dependence similar those observed on clean single-crystal Near with respect same as
