Effect of Ag nanoparticle embedment on electroactive phase nucleation of PVDF and PVDF-HFP under non-isothermal condition: A comparative study

摘要: Abstract Silver nano-particle embedded polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and poly (vinylidene fluoride– hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP) was prepared by in-situ chemical reaction. The formation of silver nanoparticles confirmed UV–vis spectroscopy HR-TEM image analysis. weight percentage estimated thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Nonisothermal melt-crystallization kinetics nucleation molten polymers were analyzed differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) polarizing optical microscopy (POM). Different parameters coming from the DSC data recommended that enhanced molecular chain mobility PVDF during its crystallization but for PVDF-HFP it hindered mobility. values effective activation energies, calculated isoconventional method supported results. Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) melting thermograms different samples concluded nano-particles helped to form polar β- phase ineffective PVDF-HFP.
