摘要: In most practical estimates of indoor pollutant exposures, it is common to assume that the uniformly and instantaneously mixed in space. It also commonly known this assumption simplistic, particularly for point sources, short-term or localized exposures. We report computational fluid dynamics (CFD) predictions mixing time a point-pulse release an unventilated mechanically isothermal room. aimed determine adequacy standard RANS two-equation ({kappa}-{var_epsilon}) turbulence model predict times under these conditions. The were made twelve experiments performed by Drescher et al. (1995). paid attention adequate grid resolution, suppression numerical diffusion, careful simulation mechanical blowers used experiments. found are good agreement with experimental measurements.
