摘要: Abstract This paper set out to estimate household willingness pay for green electric services and welfare gains attributed such schemes. For this purpose, contingent valuation survey was conducted on 300 urban peri-urban households in northern Ethiopia. A bivariate probit model used elicit analyze determinants of pay. On the other hand, were analyzed using consumer producer surpluses. The mean estimated be Birr 12.5 (0.66 USD) per month five years top monthly electricity bill. Among others, income played positive role while difference behavior observed between male female-headed households. In addition, distance wood charcoal (alternative energy) markets encouraging Results from analysis show that there is significant societal gain made both terms surplus producers (government) if previously ‘untapped’ service implemented. revenue (producer surplus) state would instrumental contributing state's endeavor generate a much-needed capital investment expansion renewable energy.
