摘要: The fermentation of d-xylose, the major sugar-cane bagasse hemicellulose component, to ethanol by Pachysolen tannophilus is inhibited various factors produced or released during acid hydrolysis process. These include ethanol, iron, chromium, copper, nickel, acetic and furfural. Ethanol production P. fconcentrations >24 g l−1. Furfural concentrations as low 0.3 7 l−1, respectively, nickel copper at 0.07, 0.01, 0.01 0.004 respectively. Similar may be found in acid-hydrolysed bagasse. removal these treatment with ion-exchange resin resulted sugars ethanol. d-glucose was used rapidly completely whereas d-xylose utilization slow incomplete. An concentration 4.1 l−1 an yield 0.32 obtained. Xylitol significant amounts produced.
