摘要: Abstract The ahp genes encoding the two proteins (F52a and C22) that make up an alkyl hydroperoxide reductase were mapped cloned from Salmonella typhimurium Escherichia coli. Two classes of oxidant-resistant mutants which overexpress isolated. ahp-1 was isolated in a wild-type background is dependent on oxyR, positive regulator defenses against oxidative stress. ahp-2 oxyR deletion independent. Transposons linked to or inserted 13 min S. chromosome, 59% ent. Deletions obtained both E. coli resulted hypersensitivity killing by cumene (an hydroperoxide) elimination F52a C22 two-dimensional gels immunoblots. clones complemented sensitivity strains restored expression proteins. A cis-acting element required for oxyR-dependent, rpoH-independent heat shock induction protein present at but not locus.
