An Innovative United States-Mexico Community Outreach Initiative for Hispanic and Latino People in the United States: A Collaborative Public Health Network.

摘要: Collaborative partnerships are a useful approach to improve health conditions of disadvantaged populations. The Ventanillas de Salud (VDS) ("Health Windows") and Mobile Health Units (MHUs) collaborative initiative the Mexican government US public organizations that use mechanisms such as fairs mobile clinics provide information, screenings, preventive measures (eg, vaccines), services people, other Hispanic underserved populations American Indian/Alaska Native geographically isolated uninsured people) across United States. From 2013 through 2019, VDS served 10.5 million people (an average 1.5 per year) at consulates in States, MHUs 115 461 from 2016 2019. We describe 3 community outreach projects their impact on improving first project is an ongoing collaboration between Centers for Disease Control Prevention (CDC) address occupational inequities among people. second was CDC with information about Zika virus infection education. third University Arizona basic communities Pima Maricopa counties, Arizona. VDS/MHU model uses should be further assessed better understand its both US-born non-US-born population large locations where it implemented.
