摘要: Calpain activity has been implicated in several cellular processes such as cell signaling, apoptosis, exocytosis, mitochondrial metabolism and cytoskeletal remodeling. Evidence indicated that the impairment of calpain expression different family members are involved diverse pathologies. Calpain-10 development type 2 diabetes, polymorphisms CAPN10 gene have associated with an increased risk developing this disease. The present work focused on molecular biology calpain-10, supporting its key participation glucose metabolism. Current knowledge regarding role calpain-10 diabetes mellitus diabetes-related diseases is additionally reviewed.
