摘要: Abstract The dynamic and static mechanical properties of randomly oriented intimately mixed short banana/sisal hybrid fibre reinforced polyester composites were determined. Dynamic such as the storage modulus (E′), damping behaviour (tan δ) tensile, flexural impact investigated a function total volume fraction relative two fibres. Keeping banana sisal (1:1), was optimised. found to increase with above glass transition temperature (Tg) matrix maximum value obtained at (Vf) 0.40. tan δ peak height minimum width 0.40Vf. Tensile strength be highest 0.40 fraction, which indicates effective stress transfer between matrix. A positive shift in Tg 0.40Vf also better fibre/matrix interaction. 0.40Vf, having different ratios fibres unhybridised prepared analysed. Sisal/polyester composite showed compared banana/polyester well composites. However, ratio 3:1,which has lowest tan δ E′ Tg. tensile this ratio. Fractographic evaluations carried out under scanning electron microscope (SEM) confirm quantitative characterisation from analysis. Arrhenius relationship been used calculate activation energy polyester. 3:1. master curve constructed based on time–temperature superposition principle. Finally, experimental results theoretical predictions.
