摘要: Abstract Seventeen patients with asthma of such severity that corticosteroids were required for maintenance therapy had 21 surgical procedures. These managed by a single team physicians, and complications the procedures in this group are reviewed. There was one postoperative discoid atelectasia case small suture abscess. no fatalities serious pulmonary or wound significant evidence adrenocortical insufficiency. It is concluded severe corticosteroid-dependent asthmatics can tolerate well provided there adequate preoperative preparation.
