摘要: Abstract An on-line technique for quantitating uterine activity by measuring the total area under intrauterine pressure curve was utilized during labor of 100 primiparous patients. Uterine measured in units (one UAU = one Torr minute). UAU's were calculated each patient both cumulative and noncumulative fashions. The rate (UAU per unit time) increased as progressed, yet expended at centimeter dilatation progressively decreased with advancing dilatation. Thus, cervical faster than could be accounted increase activity. implication being that efficiency contractions increases labor. It no longer appears reasonable to refer terms elapsed time. Information regarding “pattern dilatation” much more meaningful evaluation progress Quantitation may provide useful information ongoing management UA does a means evaluating effects specific events such medication, anesthesia, manipulation on UA.
