摘要: Percutaneous injury as a result of needle pricks is common phenomenon among health care workers and students. This in the transmission diseases caused by blood borne pathogen from patients to and students, which very dangerous. Factors that contribute prickinclude during injection, transfer syringe specimen bottle, scissors, scalpel, washing well disposal needles into sharp bins (Sumathi, 2009). The risk disease depends on number level awareness towards infection blood-borne produced human body unsafe environment. study was carried out determine prevalence, practice student Faculty Health Life Science, MSU, especially nursing medical assistant students. The designed cross sectional quantitative evaluate knowledge level, attitude MSU’s Sciences students. It found (14.0%) students have experienced prick injuries before, with (80.0%) being injured while ward. Of this, (60.0%) pricked when uncapping syringes area where most took place ward due fact period were training hospitals, they mostly placed wards compared practical rooms, emergency unit laboratory. The majority sciences are aware about pathogens related NSIs. can be used guide for preparation policies regarding use sharp equipment injections clinical labs should adhered performing their lab.
