摘要: In the United States there has been a dramatic decrease in age-adusted coronary heart disease (CHD) mortality during last 20 years. This article investigates reasons for this decline and concludes that most of CHD result life-style changes, particularly reduction serum cholesterol cigarette smoking. The Policy Model is used to compare effect targeted versus population-wide program reduction. On basis these projections, interventions are considered an important part programs. also assesses cost-effectiveness selected cardiac interventions, example, screening exercise tolerance tests, care units, thrombolysis acute myocardial infarction, β-blockers patients after infarction. Cost-effectiveness analysis seen be crucial as medical costs escalate population at risk from increases
