摘要: It is often difficult to make comparisons between the English education system and other European models for two reasons: first, lack of uniformity within system; second, absence in England a concept middle school which parallels structures. The term “middle school” applies either 8-12 age group or 9-13 group, that is, transition period primary secondary. Only few local authorities have schools sense, but from secondary schooling has sometimes been regarded as problem by authorities. In England, most children crucial years are 11 (transfer secondary) 16 (the year external examination provides them with access employment next stage education).
