摘要: The main objective of this paper is to characterise the spatial distribution waders on mudflats in a special bird sanctuary vicinity Tagus Estuary Natural Reserve. sampling method consisted measuring occurrence 6 plots 200x200 m during wintering period (from December March). There relationship between density and dominant type soil/sediments (mud, sand, shells, etc.), deposition which conditioned by dynamic stream flows river. To generate images density, sequential indicator simulation with correction for local probabilities applied order reproduce non-stationary patterns induced layering different types sediments. These are important tools planning management more sensitive areas
