Mapping the scientific literature on reproductive health among transgender and gender diverse people: a scoping review.

摘要: We conducted a scoping review to map the extent, range and nature of scientific research literature on reproductive health (RH) transgender gender diverse assigned female at birth male persons. A librarian searches in Ovid MEDLINE®, Embase, Cochrane Library, PubMed, Google Scholar, Gender Studies Database, Watch, Web Science Core Collection. The results were limited peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2000 2018 involving human participants, written English, pertaining RH, including disaggregated data for people. total 2197 unique citations with abstracts identified entered into Covidence. Two independent screeners performed title abstract selected 75 records full-text review. two independently extracted from 37 eligible articles, which reviewed, collated, summarised, analysed using numerical summary thematic analysis approach. existing was terms RH topics, geographic locations, study designs, sampling analytical strategies, populations studied. Research is needed that: focuses full issues; includes people Global South understudied multiply marginalised subpopulations; guided by intersectionality; uses intervention, implementation science, community-based participatory approaches. Further, programmes, practices, policies that address multilevel barriers among addressed are warranted.
