ISOLATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF TWO ß1-GLYCOPROTEINS OF HUMAN SERUM

摘要: Two immunoelectrophoretically defined, heretofore unidentified s1-globulins of human serum, provisionally designated s1C- and s1A-globulin, were isolated by means preparative electrophoresis chromatography on anion exchange cellulose. The sedimentation coefficient S20, w s1C-globulin was shown to be 9.5 S, that 6.9 S. Both proteins found contain similar amounts carbohydrate, devoid lipids, possess the solubility characteristics euglobulins. In Ouchterlony double diffusion test they gave reaction partial identity, which revealed s1A-globulin anti-genically deficient as compared s1C-globulin. s1A-globulin could not detected in fresh sera absent from aged sera.
