摘要: The Tunisian domain is formed following the convergence between Nubia and Eurasia which responsible for folding still active faulting. We used 62 earthquake focal mechanisms to constrain present stress field of domain. results show that tectonic regime compressional with a dominant direction NW-SE maximum horizontal principal direction. depth distribution indicates Northern Tunisia an area thin crust shallow Moho. However, in central southern Atlas, presence strike-slip faulting shows this zone deep seismogenic thick crust. These are consistent neotectonic seismotectonic determined by other studies. deformations like past guided African Eurasian plates.
