A field study on thermal environment and occupant local thermal sensation in offices with cooling ceiling in Zhuhai, China

摘要: Abstract This study aims to investigate thermal environment and occupant local sensation in offices with cooling ceiling. A field survey combining measurements questionnaires was conducted Zhuhai, China. The obtained results indicated that compared experimental conditions, occupants real crowded experienced warmer because the mean radiant temperature (MRT) higher than air due shelter effect of indoor furniture etc. MRT also showed correlations both overall (OTS) comfort (OTC) a great part heat transferred through radiation. Air linear correlation ceiling when could fully handle load, but supplementary necessary for systems offices. Moreover, (LTS) different body parts differences many factors such as clothes adaptive behaviors, it significantly influenced OTS OTC. Particularly, head, hand, leg foot had considerable effects on while head influences In addition, this paper validated against some important previous studies provided references future work.
