摘要: We investigated how root hydraulic conductance (normalized to dry weight, Lo ) is regulated by the shoot. Shoot topping (about 30% reduction in leaf area) reduced of grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.), soybean (Glycine max L.) and maize (Zea mays 50 60%. More detailed investigations with showed that was not correlated area, shading or cutting single leaves had a similar effect. Percentage largest when initial high soybean. Inhibition weak acid (low pH) smaller after shoot damage shading. The half time approximately 5 min total decapitation. These characteristics indicate involvement aquaporins. excluded phloem-borne signals auxin-mediated signals. Xylem-mediated are possible since turgor rapidly decreased within cortex cells topping. There significant expression several aquaporins plasma membrane intrinsic protein (PIP) family both In soybean, there five- 10-fold GmPIP1;6 over 0.5-1 h which sustained period .
