摘要: Most of the present micro/nano biodevices are designed for a single use, as opposed to ‘classical’ non-biodevices (e.g., from steam engine microchip). Once their function, be that simple molecular recognition like in microarrays or even biomolecular computation DNA arrays, is fulfilled and information passed further signal processing systems, product becomes functionally obsolete. There indeed few notable exceptions, e.g., biosensors charge-controlled hybridization but these function limited period time. This one-use character micro/nano-biodevices more an expression lack robustness components proteins, cells) rather than one economic sense. Moreover, advanced will help achieve being whichwould allowthese devices have continuous instead one-off mode operation.
