摘要: The major deficiency of carbon fibers is their sensitivity to oxidation even at relatively low temperatures. Although silicon carbide (SiC) are also sensitive oxidation, starts higher temperatures and yields a protective silica coating. In an oxidative environment, SiC Si-C-O generally more useful than [1, 2, 3]. Large diameter obtained by chemical vapor deposition (Chapter 4). Small oxycarbide derived from solid polydimethylsilazane precursor (this chapter).
