摘要: Seventeen cases of histoplasmosis involving 2 dogs and 15 cats have occurred in the Upper Rio Grande Valley El Paso since 1978. The diagnosis, based on clinical signs radiographic findings, was confirmed by one or more following laboratory procedures: demonstration intracellular Histoplasma capsulatum yeast cells tissue, positive serology, isolation H. from various organs necropsied animals. isolated also a bat cave soil vicinity some houses where affected animals had resided. Skin-tests 97 persons for indicated 14% prevalance this locale.
