摘要: Abstract The Mokra-Western Quarry exhibits the rare occurrence of Early Miocene (MN 4) vertebrate fauna within area eastern part Central Europe. In addition to a rich reptiles and mammals, two fossiliferous karst joints (Mokra-Western Quarry, 1/2001 Turtle Joint 2/2003 Reptile Joint) yielded amphibians including 13 amphibian taxa: Salamandridae: Mioproteus sp., Chelotriton type I, II, Triturus aff. roehrsi, cf. marmoratus, sp. (T. cristatus species group), Chioglossa meini, Mertensiella mera, Salamandridae gen. indet.; Pelobatidae: Pelobates sanchizi; Ranidae: Rana (synklepton esculenta); Bufonidae: Bufo first records West European marmoratus meini are reported from Europe indicating wide distribution those taxa throughout whole as early MN 4. oldest known record sanchizi documents presence representatives closely related extinct Late Oligocene Pelobates. slow evolution is documented by salamander mera.
