摘要: Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) has long been recognized as playing an integral role in glycolysis. During the past 20 years, however, a number of novel, additional functions for GAPDH have described. These include acting uracil DNA glycosylase, activator transcription, binding to RNA, and involvement tubulin assembly. One most intriguing which recently is initiation apoptosis. Further, associates with proteins implicated human neurodegenerative disorders. This review summarizes evidence implicating one or more apoptotic cascades. The possible nucleus could result apoptosis are also discussed. J. Neurosci. Res. 1:150–154, 2000 © Wiley-Liss, Inc.
