摘要: An analysis of spectral line profiles is used to calculate the gas temperature and estimate upper limit electron density in an atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge torch. Two transitions are studied, that helium (He) at 587.5nm hydrogen (Hβ) 486.1nm, both observed spectra light emitted from gap-space region. Relevant broadening mechanisms including Doppler Stark effects, as well collision processes between emitter a neutral particle, reviewed. It deduced main contribution broadened due collisions. Through knowledge van der Waals interaction potential, general expression for determining derived applied each transition. The results obtained lines agreement; i.e., found be 460±60K highest voltage applied. This value consistent with experimental observation these conditions afterglo...
