摘要: We present an experimental demonstration of a passively mode-locked figure-eight fiber laser (F8L) based on power-imbalanced nonlinear optical loop-mirror (PI-NOLM) comprising section 25 m long high-nonlinear (HNLF) and tunable attenuator (ATT). The asymmetric power, which results in different phase shifts the clockwise (CW) counter-clockwise (CCW) directions, is achieved using ATT. greatly reduce length cavity, can effectively diminish interference from external environment. A balanced coupler (OC) ATT act as OC. So, stable pulse train with full width at half maximum (FWHM) ∼571 fs signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) ∼60 dB obtained.
