摘要: Little is known about the relationship between levels of self-esteem and development depression in young adults. The present study investigated to determine whether are a risk factor for This was conducted with 113 college students aged 19 35 (major depressive disorder (MDD) n = 44, Mild Depressive Symptoms (MDS) n = 37, Healthy Control n = 32). clinical symptoms, self-esteem, resilience, social support, quality life, as well personality traits, were assessed (by Patient Health Questionnaire-9, generalized anxiety disease-7, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory-S, Resilience Appraisal Scale, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Quality Life, NEO-personality inventory (NEO-PI)). MDS group high reported having lowest agreeableness, extraversion compared those MDD control self-esteem. In contrast, low showed no differences agreeableness openness according NEO-PI scale. Sex age had significant impact on results. Levels strongly associated depression. Results suggest that early intervention adults needs focus improving their positive domains personality. Further studies effects warranted.
