Recent incidence trends for breast cancer in women and the relevance of early detection: an update.

摘要: The incidence of breast cancer in women has been rising dramatically the United States since 1982, based on data collected by Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) program National Cancer Institute. An additional three years mortality are included this update earlier analyses; however, focus report remains examining steeply increasing trend between 1982 1986. Over period, rates for situ localized invasive tumors increased among age 50 older, while regional distant remained stable. less than 1.0, 1.0 to 1.9, 2.0 2.9 cm size more rapidly that 3.0 greater over 50. Survival also improved cases diagnosed time period. These descriptive suggest early detection may be playing a role recent increase women, although other factors cannot ruled out. Conclusions regarding control await confirmation reduced mortality.
