摘要: Holoprosencephaly (HPE) is a malformation of the brain, occurring during first weeks pregnancy, that may be associated with several craniofacial alterations and different pathological conditions.The authors describe 2-year-old girl lobar HPE, epilepsy, but roughly normal face. Despite macroscopic, clinical appearance, facial morphometric analysis, performed through stereophotogrammetric system, showed features diverge from reference subjects are considered typical HPE.This study highlights how digital anthropometric assessment stereophotogrammetry can useful noninvasive instrument to investigate especially in presence an apparently aspect. Additionally, it provide bases for future insights about relationship between embryological cerebral development, time occurred defect and, end, enrich basic scientific knowledge.
