摘要: The thesis investigates the link between development and security - ‘development-security nexus’- which emerged during 1990s, facilitated by formulation of human and human security. It examines how this development-security nexus has evolved over time has influenced interrelated significance for international relations. The thesis questions interdependence analyses theory practice that see and security issues as reciprocally reinforcing each other, in particular through a set policies called Security Sector Reform (SSR). The research includes three main areas interest related to different meanings of development focusing on security; the various interpretations since 1990s; analysis how Security Reform, publicised policies, are designed to translate it into practice.
