摘要: The chemical properties of the B(6) vitamers are uniquely suited for wide use as cofactors in essential reactions, such decarboxylations and transaminations. This review addresses current efforts to explore vitamin dependent enzymatic reactions drug targets. Several targets described that found amongst these enzymes. focus is set on diseases caused by protozoan parasites. Comparison across a range organisms allows insight into distribution potential targets, many which may be interest development broad anti-protozoan drugs. article part Special Issue entitled: Pyridoxal Phosphate Enzymology.
