摘要: Here we document the addition of thousands potentially amplifiable microsatellite loci (PALs) and associated primer sequences for public use. We conducted whole-genome shotgun sequencing to obtain ultra-low coverage, random genomic sampling from ten African Asian squamate reptile species (representing genera). used unique processing methods generated PALs following species: Acrochordus granulatus, Ahaetulla prasina, Cerberus rhynchops, Gonocephalus kuhlii, Ophiophagus hannah, Python bivittatus, Tribolonotus gracilis, Trimeresurus sabahi (Popeia sabahi), Uromastyx geryi Varanus exanthematicus. All taxa included, as well other related not included in our study, are exploited heavily by international skin pet trades, yet researchers conservation agencies currently lack substantial genetic resources guiding management. Using stringent filtering methods, between 467 8641 each (52,164 total), yielding a rich database amplification primers these taxa. In targeted markers provided this can likely be applied variety closely that also commercial interest.
