摘要: In ecological restoration we are faced with the challenge of making decisions about ecosystem management imperfect information system dynamics and trajectories. For example, a ecologist evaluating denuded floodplain might be asked to determine if area can support cottonwood forest. Can seedlings naturally recruit persist here, or do they need seeded? How will upstream presence tamarisk populations (or other invasive species) affect establishment forest? prevent conversion tamarisk-invaded state? Is it possible establish forest on this site that would resilient invasion? Taking perspective considers how theory practice integrated, consider questions such as these guide our approach native systems.
