Development of multifunctional photoactive self-cleaning glasses

摘要: Glasses for architecture must have many functions in addition to their transparency. For example, the glasses with functions, of self-cleaning, light control, UV reduction, anti-bacterial, energy conversion, and so on, will be used buildings near future. This paper reviews some results on multifunctional photoactive based multi-layer coatings containing TiO2 film other functional developed by us recently. The self-cleaning can realized coating photoinduced super-hydrophilic nanoporous thin films photocatalysts via sol–gel route. A new method enhance photocatalytic activity direct coated soda-lime glass was treating acidic solutions. also good anti-bacterial properties. doping a small amount silver into porous its anti-bacteria effect without irradiation. appropriate heat-treatment operate as visible region. reduction are prepared magnetron sputtering two layers TiO2–CeO2 glasses. cut all through adjusting ratio CeO2. TiO2/TiN/TiO2 type substrate act low-E glass. potential water-repellent is discussed finally.
