摘要: The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness endoscopic diode laser therapy in patients presenting rectal bleeding due chronic radiation proctitis (CRP). A retrospective analysis CRP who underwent a single institution between 2010 and 2016 was carried out. were treated by non-contact fibers without sedation an outpatient setting. Fourteen (median age 77, range 73–87 years) diagnosed with had undergone high-dose radiotherapy for prostatic cancer presented included. Six required blood transfusions. Antiplatelet (three patients) anticoagulant (two not suspended during treatments. median two sessions; overall, mean 1684 J energy per session used. Bleeding resolved 10/14 (71%) patients, other showed improvement (93%). Only one patient, did complete treatment, transfusions after therapy; no complications noted or procedures. Study findings demonstrated that treatment safe effective even those receiving antiplatelet and/or therapy.
