摘要: Bandulskaia aestuaria gen. et sp. nov. is described from Early Eocene estuarine sediments in Tasmania. It represented by an incomplete leaf with a finely toothed margin and well‐preserved cuticle. Despite the absence of such teeth more than 2500 known species fossil extant Lauraceae, cuticle exhibits traits that combination are found only family. These include derived characters sunken, paracytic stomata small, apparently embedded guard cells, stomata confined to small areoles, stomatal positions marked slitlike abaxial surface apertures, as well presence persistent resin bodies simple, uniseriate trichomes thickened, poral bases.
