摘要: In a former paper ("Second Order Blind Identification (SOBI) and its relation to Stochastic Subspace (SSI) algorithm", 28th IMAC, 2010), the authors established link between popular SSI algorithm used in output-only modal analysis Second developed for blind source separation field of signal processing. It was concluded that two algorithms, although seemingly very different, are actually jointly diagonalizing same covariance matrix over range time-lags. This is explicit SOBI implicit SSI. One main difference, however, focuses on estimating (real) as joint diagonalizer, but without taking advantage specific structure formed by Markov coefficients incorrectly assuming no-damping or low damping. On other hand, specifically exploits so estimate complex modes, puts less emphasis "joint diagonalizing" property matrix. The aim this communication introduce new based Alternating Least Squares (ALS) approach combines advantages both order return improved estimates parameters. shown work capable identifying closely spaced modes heavily damped can also be expanded
